One World Dance Program for Youth

One World Dance Program for Youth (Ages 7–17) This in-person program is designed for young dancers ages 7 to 17 and offers a comprehensive exploration of global dance styles, technique, and performance. Classes are tailored to meet the needs of different age groups and experience levels, from beginners to advanced students. Dancers will engage in a variety of styles such as ballet, contemporary, hip hop, Horton technique, and world dance, while gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural roots and artistic expression within each form. The program nurtures discipline, creativity, and self-confidence while promoting teamwork and cultural appreciation. Performance opportunities and choreography labs allow students to apply their training in dynamic and expressive ways.

Goals:

- Strengthen technical dance skills across multiple styles

- Deepen cultural understanding through movement

- Encourage individuality and creative exploration

- Build confidence, discipline, and collaborative skills

Curriculum: The curriculum includes technique classes, improvisation, choreography, and dance history. Students will learn proper alignment, flexibility, and strength-building exercises while exploring musicality and performance presence. Classes are divided by level and include guest artist workshops, group projects, and performance preparation.
