This August, one of my biggest dreams is coming to life: the very first One World Dance™ Summer Intensive in New York City. From August 25–29, dancers from around the world will gather at the legendary Alvin Ailey Studios for five days of training, inspiration, and connection, and right now, behind the scenes, we’re building something truly special. But this is just the beginning. One World Dance™ was born from a global vision, to create programs, platforms, and experiences that unite dancers through cultural exchange. And while this summer intensive is one beautiful part of that dream, there’s more on the horizon. New collaborations, exciting events, and expanded opportunities are coming soon.
So what makes this August so meaningful? We’ve confirmed an incredible lineup of faculty, teachers who bring not only technical excellence but also heart, mentorship, and deep understanding of what dance can do when it transcends borders. Students will experience ballet, modern, lyrical, musical theater and west african, each rooted in discipline, expression, and joy. We're planning every detail with care, from welcome kits to music to support for international dancers. Whether you’re flying in from Italy, traveling from across the U.S., or taking class in NYC for the first time, you’ll be part of a shared journey that’s much more than just dance. This intensive is about building confidence, cultural awareness, and community and laying the foundation for something bigger. One World Dance™ is a movement. A growing international initiative that believes dance can connect us, teach us, and move us, together. There’s still time to join us. And there’s so much more to come.
